Any Way the Hair Grows

A four panel, full color comic. In the first panel, Emily, a woman with short brown hair, glasses, and wearing a sweater, stands in profile, visible from the chest up. She looks frustrated as she glares to the back of her head, where her hair has fully run amok. A narration box begins, "My hair has fully hit awkward grow out stage." Two arrows label parts of her hair, the first being the front with "hair is desperately trying to swoop again" and the second being the back with "Hoo Boy, That's A Cowlick! (TM)" In the second panel, the scene changes: we're now in Emily's childhood home, a warm, cozy house with natural wood and cream walls. Her dad, a tall and broad shouldered gray-haired man wearing a sweater stands behind a point and shoot camera on a tripod. The narration continues, "Thankfully, with the holidays, I have the perfect excuse--" as her dad chimes in with 'Emily, are you sure you want to wear that for the family photo?" In the third panel, we swing the camera around, and Emily is standing next to her brother, a tall man cut off by the top of the panel. Emily looks exactly the same as her appearance in the first panel, except she's wearing a large, comical Santa hat. She mirthlessly says "haha." In the fourth panel, we zoom in on Emily, who smiles even more painfully, twitching in the process, capping it off with "Absolutely."
