Avian Admiration

A seven panel, full color comic. In the first panel, Emily walks around the corner of an office building, looking at her phone. There are landscape workers in the foreground, and soft cooing whirling in from off panel. In the second panel, Emily lifts her head up in confusion, noticing the cooing. In the third panel, she exclaims "oh!" with a small start. In the forth panel, we turn the camera around to see that Emily is looking at two mourning dovs sitting on top of an awning. She cheerily greets them with "Hi Mr. and Ms. Mourning Dove!" In the fifth panel, we zoom in on the mourning doves, looking down as Emily addresses them off panel: "you two are so pretty!" In the sixth panel, both of the mourning doves squint and beam with pride. In the seventh panel, one of the landscape workers looks at Emily with confusion and slight derision. She replies with, "What? They are."

At least, that’s how I hope birds react to me. 🐦
