A full color comic. In the first panel, Emily stands in the kitchen, exhausted and holding a beer, dressed in an oversized hoodie. Em, her roommate, stands at the stove, stirring a large pot. They look back over their shoulder at Emily with concern. The narration starts: "It's safe to say that Winter Depression has fully set in." Em begins to address Emily, "is that--" but they're cut off by Emily replying "the hoodie I've had since middle school and only wear when the vibes suck? Yes." In the second panel, silhouettes of buildings and bare trees dot the background. The sky is gray, with clouds almost blending into it. The narration observes, "I feel like I've forgotten what the sun looks like." In the third panel, Emily sits on the couch in a darkened living room, wrapped up in a blanket and playing a game on her phone. The narration continues, "I'm barely socializing--" as music and the lyrics from Snow Halation drift up from her phone. In the fourth panel, Emily sits in an office, at a desk with her laptop, looking detached and exhausted. A small "ping!" notification from the laptop alerts her to a new email. The narration continues, "and I can't remember the last time I left the house for something that wasn't work." In the fifth panel, Emily stands in the center, back in the noted hoodie, posing dramatically. Manga sound effects float behind her, reminiscent of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. "But! This year! I have a secret weapon," she declares. In the sixth panel, Emily floats in the blank space, her arms pointing down toward her legs, revealing pajama pants and big, fuzzy socks. "COMFY SOCKS," she declares. In the seventh and last panel, as if as an aside, Emily finishes with "hhhhh is winter over yet," as she returns to her frazzled and exhausted state.

Thanks as always for reading. See you next week!
