A full page comic, rendered in black and white, with screentones for shades of gray. In the first panel, Emily stands outside, dressed for winter with a totebag slung over her shoulder, in front of a marquee sign that reads "Harvestime Foods" with an "on" appended to it as the title of the comic. Emily directly addresses the camera: "In my experience, there are many factors to a city becoming home--a physical place you can find comfort in--people you love--and a local grocery store that always has your back. In the second panel, Emily, dressed in a different hoodie, holds a container of oyster mushrooms and observes, thinking "What a good price for mush..." The narration continues: "--with discoveries that feel like a welcome to the neighborhood--" In the third panel, Emily shops through the store and looks up to the ceiling, where Rush's Tom Sawyer blares out of the PA with "The river!" She thinks, "Tom Sawyer again?! Whenever I'm here, I swear..." The narration continues: "--with a fitting if recurring shopping soundtrack--" In the fourth panel, Emily enters her apartment, holding up a single lemon in a bag, looking exhausted and with flour spattered all over her. The narration continues: "--with that emergency replacement ingredient when a recipe goes awry--" In the last panel, a hand off panel holds a tortilla chip, scooping up a dollop of guacamole, as indistinct chatter goes on around and in the background. The narration concludes: "--and with supplies for moments with friends that make my life in Chicago glow."
